Surface options

After printing, we will do some finishing on the surface. So that to improve the book cover’s functional and decorative effects or make the inner page more bright and beautiful. The common surface options for book printing are:

 

1.  Lamination

 

Lamination is a process in which paper and plastic film are hot pressed together with an adhesive. After lamination, the surface of printed matter with high glossy. And improve the function of waterproof, antifouling, wear-resistant and folding endurance, etc. So that can expand the book service life.

Lamination has matte lamination and glossy lamination. Glossy lamination makes the books more bright, colorful and enrich. Matte lamination makes the books more simple and elegant.

 
2.  UV

 


UV is a processing method that coating gloss paste on the printed product surface or spot, after drying and to form a conjunctiva. The overall glossy product surface has a different gloss effect (bright glossy or matte glossy). And improves the performance of water resistance and wear resistance. Spot UV on the product surface has a unique decoration effect. We often use spot UV on the printed product.

 
3. Hot stamping

 

Hot stamping according to the pattern of the hot stamping plate with the help of a certain pressure and temperature. The hot stamp method is transfer the hot stamp foil to the surface of the printed matter. Hot stamping plays a decorative role on the printed product.

4. Embossing and debossing

Through a certain temperature and pressure, embossing or debossing on the surface of the printed matter. So that the product has a three-dimensional feeling.

In the cover processing technology, we often use one or more of the above processing methods to improve the performance of the cover. And increase the decorative effect of the cover.

Besides above common finishing, we also provide other finishing. Such as perforate, die cut, varnishing, etc.
